Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Effective date: October 2026. Game Openings (the "Service") is operated by Gochis LLC ("we," "us"). These terms govern use of the Service at gameopenings.com.
The Service helps schools find games, tournament spots and host sites: schools post open dates, tournaments with open spots, and facilities that can host, and other schools ask to book them. Your login is shared with Coaching Openings and SchoolSportsHQ, which we also operate; their own terms cover your use of those sites.
2. Accepting these terms
You accept these terms by creating an account and ticking the box that says you agree. If you register a school, you confirm you are its athletic director or a head coach there, and that you are allowed to schedule games for it.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and work for the school you post for. Keep your password private, and tell us at admin@coachingopenings.com if you think someone else used your account.
- Only athletic directors, athletic administrators and head coaches can post and book. A school's athletic director can see what its coaches post and book.
4. Listings and bookings
- Be accurate. Listings must describe a real opening: correct dates, level, fees, officials and facility details. Take a listing down as soon as it is filled.
- Requests are not contracts. Accepting a request means both schools intend to play. Settle the details (times, officials, gate, fees, any written game contract your district requires) directly with the other school. We are not a party to any agreement between schools and do not handle fees between them.
- Information other schools see. Your school's name, city, enrollment, classification and listings are visible to other registered schools. The name and email of the person who asked or answered are shared with the other school once a game is booked, so the two of you can reach each other.
5. Acceptable use
Do not post fake or misleading listings, contact schools for anything other than scheduling, harass anyone, try to break or overload the Service, or collect other schools' information for any other purpose. Schools can report listings and requests to us. We review reports and may remove listings and block a school from the Service when these rules are broken.
5a. Tips
Tips are optional and voluntary. They are a gift to support the Service, not a payment for anything, and are not refundable except where the law requires. Payments are handled by Stripe.
6. Ending use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us at admin@coachingopenings.com to delete your account.
7. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is." We do not check listings or guarantee that a game happens. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if nothing was paid).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
